Default Gt1

Just took delivery. Anxious to get the new engine in and out on the track.
Haven't had a chance to go over everything yet. Definitely no shortage of gauges and switches. Previous owner was an engineer. Engine is a Roush Yates 358 from Mcgunegil.

Looks like an OLD ASA National tour body. I used to have an ASA type Monte Carlo with Howe road race GTA chassis powered by an ex Nascar Busch Series 18 degree motor. Hit about 190 MPH in the tri oval at Daytona. Lot of fun. Later that car got a carb LS1 and despite having only about 500 HP lapped Daytona, Sebring etc quicker. It was not as fast in a straight line but handled and braked much better and tire management was much easier.

Ive got a bunch of paperwork and logbook on the car, posters from when it was campaigned.. It ran in trans am with a different tbird body in early 90s. Osborn Chassis. The engine is a 9:1 comp pump gas 358. Dewaine figured somewhere in the 600hp range. Being dynoed today.

I've got a friend selling a 331cc motor from his GT-1 Mustang. It broke a rocker, but doesn't appear to have any other damage. I think it was around 670hp on AV gas. He is getting a new motor to put him in the 800+ hp range.

Got the engine dynoed, did 658 on pump gas. Engine came in, bell housing that was on the car wouldn't work. Ordered another bell housing, clutch, flywheel, starter ,......that didn't work either. Called quartermaster and they got me squared away.

Motor mounts were allegedly going to mount right up to the 358...yeah that wasn't the case

Bell housing needed wings

-20 AN fitting, yeah those are cheap. I thought racing wasn't expensive lol
