I have a "Racecars n Cigars" gathering every Tuesday that I'm in town, i.e. - tomorrow - the Camaro won't be "home" for a few weeks though. You are always welcome. We hang on the patio, grill, chill, smoke cigars, talk racecars, tell lies, etc...LOL!

Nice car! I'm glad someone local bought it.

I sure enjoyed racing John in it.

Sound like I will be seeing a lot of it next year in the Mid States Majors.

Thank you! Yes, I'm glad it is still "in the family" so-to-speak. I'm sad that John is no longer racing but I understand. Yes, that is the plan - I hope to see you out there in the Mid States Majors as well! We need some more racers!

Interesting? Your new car looks great!!! I replaced the body on my GTA car with a TA Camero body and ended up with the same # as yours! I met you at Daytona. Had Woody at Bemco do the work. Have not run the car yet as the Camero, but looking forward to tracking the car. Sorry, didn't mean to steel your thread. JD

John: yes, I remember, we had a nice chat! Thank you, your car looks great! Too funny about the #79! I will be rebadging the Camaro to #13 in the next few weeks, also looking at new graphics/wrap etc. Hope to see you again - let's make it on track too!

race cars are like JAGs. got to have two so you have something to drive while one is in the shop (or waiting on parts).

Getting closer to being on the track! Went out Friday and checked out the new RaceTech seat - PERFECT! Fits like a glove! Pedals are where I want them to be, shifter feels good, wheel will be going up another inch or so, might be going with a flat-bottom wheel as well. Getting new windshield and keeping current one as the "rain windshield/spare" - it's a neat setup, the wiper motor is mounted on it - will keep it nice and wrapped up and in the belly of the beast for those fun, oh fun rain races LOL! Working on a design scheme - originally thought about re-wrapping car to have a similar design as the current #13 but I really like the current look of silver and black - might just add our logo to the side in matte black, rebadge to #13 and call it done. Decisions, decisions!

Capt- The entry door you have there, any pics or comments on how it made entry/exit better? Thats my one hand up going to these cars as I am too damn big to go through windows easily (or at all some days)

Thanks

Definitely easier to get in! The window opening is kind of small.

Spent this Friday and Saturday testing at ECR. What a BLAST to drive!! Still getting used to it, times are slowly coming along.

Getting better at braking/turning. Sort of terrifying but once it happens...WOW!

The Camaro has more rear weight than #13, that one is a little nose heavy. So I'm releasing the brake, turning the wheel and gassing hard to get it to rotate (much earlier than #13), it's a huge leap of faith but when done right it squares off the corner, literally like it pivots 90 degrees then rockets out! Very unnatural feeling, so far. But WOW! Just need more seat time and I'll be where I need to be.

ETA: Maybe I took the pix in Australia....LOL....

I've been out almost every weekend in the TA2 car and the experience and times just keep on getting better and better, having a blast! Much more "comfortable" with how it drivers over #13.
