Default C6 manual door latch release?

I just bought a C6 track car with gutted doors/interior. Right now I have to reach in and pull the manual release lever on the floor to open the door from the outside. I've seen some trick manual releases on cars at the track (Danny Kellermeyer has a cool push down button near the b-pillar that pops the latch) but I didn't get a chance to see how it worked.

Anyone have any details/tricks that they want to share?

(Picture attached just because everyone loves pics.)

You could always just run the stock door release to a different location. Moving it up to the B-pillar wouldn't be hard, which is what is done in this car.

My question is how do you get out of that car. You have to turn and somehow get a hold of that release and then get out.

I'd rather just add in a second cable pull for the door and run it somewhere convenient.
