Default Tire Size advice

Ok,

I use my Corvette primarily for autocross with some daily driving.

I have TSW Nurburgrings on the Vette, 18's up front and 19's in the rear. To keep the nannies from freaking out because size offset is not enough, which size to go with?

I have 275/35/19's up front which measures 25.6 inches tall.

The 305/30/19's measure 26.3 inches tall while the 305/35/19's measure 27.4 inches tall. I know the 305/35's would be fine, but would the 305/30's be tall enough to satisfy the active handling/traction control nannies? I ran into this problem with my old Falken Azenis RT 615K's when I used 18's in the rear.

Do you turn traction control off? I autocross my c5 with a 315 square setup and don't have any issues. If your really worried about it, I'd run the 285/30-18 in front and the 305/30-19 in the rear. That should be enough of a variation that it would trigger anything weird.

That would work fine, however I do drive it on the street with the same tires. I thought about a square setup as well, but my front fenders wouldn't cover up the 305/30/18's and I don't feel like replacing fenders every time after I've hit a dip in the road!!!

So, that's why I posed the question, for street use. Nannies are great on the street, particularly when heavy rain hits and I am caught out in the Corvette.

I run 275/35-18 and 305/35-18 which is the same diameter as 305/30-19 with no problems on the street

If the rear wheels are wide enough, why not just go with the widebody oem size 325/30 r19 on the rear? The height would be 26.7"

Those won't fit under the fenders of my narrow body car.

And I am not going to shell out another couple of grand for wheels. I have TSW Nurburgrings. Had them for years and love them. Best bang for the buck wheels I could find.

Fit and finish are excellent for the money.
