Default track car tranny problems

Last season 3rd and 4th syhncro blocker rings cracked and season before that was the blocker ring on 2nd😠

I am 99% sure it's not a rebuilt or assembly issue. I check the preload and clearance every time and use royal purple Synchromax.

What do you guys think? Driver error or wrong fluid.

What is the max temperature of the fluid typically at? Is the royal purple fluid meeting the GM requirement(s)?

I know at least three track guys who have had issues w/ royal purple in the trans. I run Amsoil torque drive for several years now in two Z's that are tracked w/ no issues.

The transmission overheat warning came on once as far as I know... and yes I will be doing a cooler and pump next.
how do I read the stock temps or do I have to go aftermarket?

I read up on the tranny oil threads on CF and my head is still spinning lol
Seems like Amzoil ATD is the best?

Thanks

Look in your owners manual for the exact fluid specification(s), then buy what you feel good about that meets those specs.

I have been running Amsoil for years in these trans. Torque drive was recommended by a vendor as being improved over their ATF. He had data and oil analysis showing it, and I switched over 4 years ago w/ no issues in 2 different Z's. Good luck.

I ran Amsoil for a few years and have run Motul for the last couple. Both with good results (I just switched because the shop I mostly work with has Motul on hand).

I think you need to go aftermarket to get the actual trans and diff fluid temps.
