Default Dragster Adventure

Ok. This has nothing to do with our usual topics. Nonetheless ....

I spent Friday running a rear engine dragster. 572 cid of Chevy power. I've driven a lot of race cars over the years but this was totally new. I loved it.

I was running 9.5s. I have to admit that I backed off before the end of the 14/mile. Scared

Running well over 100 mph with your butt 6-inches off the ground is a little scary.

The amazing thing was how straight the car went. That surprised me. Actually it shouldn't have but it did.

If I had done a few more runs I think I could have put it in the low 9-seconds. It takes a while to build up your courage.

I don't blame you. 9.5 ET is flying.

The top fuel guys are hitting 5G's at launch. If they take off any quicker they might pass out. At some point in the technology advancements in going quicker, they will wear flight suites like the Jet Pilots. Pass out at launch just to wake up at the big end when its all over

The burnouts were the most fun. They're unreal.

That has to be a real blast to run those cars. Glad you enjoyed the adventure.
