Corvette Takes Class win @ HSR Sebring Classic 12 Hours
Dave Bacher spent the last three years or so restoring the Ex Mike Harrison SCCA B Production / GT-1 Corvette. The car features a Kerry Hitt ACP body, a stout Byron Koury small block Chevy and some of the finest fabrication you could find. The car looks like a museum piece but runs like a scalded dog with the torquey Koury motor.
The Tropic Zone Racing Team with Bacher and 70 year young Trans Am Series "ringer" Kerry Hitt shoeing, took all four class segments with Hitt running the fastest laps in the class in the evening. Among the class victims was the George Tuma owned Jochen Mass/Tuma driven Ferrari Daytona Coupe.
