Default What are your favorite gloves for summer hpde?

Searched on here - did not find much info.

Was wondering what everybody uses for gloves in the summer. My hands sweat so I need something. Was actually thinking about motocross gloves.

Thanks

I have been using Pumas and they have been great. I had internal and external stitching... both are great but I prefer the external stitching.

I just use a bright yellow pair of Mechanics gloves. It helps with passing signals. I seem to be giving a lot of those.

I use a pair of Simpson long gloves. SFI5 rated. You can see a range of prices from $50 to $180 in that list shown above. The $50 one are pretty good, however, what you might want to go with depends on how the gloves feel when on your hands.

My hands sweat a lot too and I bought a pair of Under Armor wide receiver gloves which I've used for autocross and HPDE for a couple years now and they've worked great. Good grip and the back side of them breathes pretty well.

I've been using alpinestar karting gloves. Want to say they around $50. Not fire proof or certified, but good for sweaty hands.

As of last week, the shop had not started tearing it down. I'll call today for a status report.
What did you decide to do for you new engine?

Mine is still running strong, but I am in Novice class and not pushing it as hard as you guys. Curious as to what happened to yours. I like your C6.. looks setup very well.

Merry Christmas to you!

I picked up a really neat trick from Danny Kellemeyer.

Once I'm in the car I soak the palms with water. It really improves the grip on the wheel.

Try it.

I keep a damp towel in my glovebox during autocross days to wipe my hands off between runs.

Ha. I've had to dump water on Danny's gloves in the past when he forgot to grab the bottle before strapping in. He uses a stock steering wheel so it helps with leather on leather contact. I have a suede Sparco wheel so I don't have an issue with grip with gloves. (I use a pair of GForce SFI rated gloves.)

I use G-Force 4101. They have a short(er) cuff and are SFI 3.5/5 rated.

Started with Alpinestar Karting gloves and eventually moved to these

http://winecountrymotorsports.com/al...ve-p-1527.html

they are the lightest offering Aplinestar carries to my knowledge

shift assault gloves
palm/fingers are like a alcantera/leather. but the top side is a woven cotton like stuff to still allow breathing.
also are a tight fit so you dont loose any feel.

I use Sparco gloves.

Fun note, the Sparco.it (the Italian Sparco online store) has then for like 47 Euro which (vs like 89USD on the US store) and since they're gloves, shipping will be inexpensive so it can be cheaper to shop the italian store.
