SCCA Homestead Major: Kinsland Corvette on Pole in GT2
Randy Kinsland put his CrossRoads Motorsports prepped C6 on the pole for the SCCA Major down at Homestead. Kinsland clocked a 1:21.961 to best Bobby Kennedy's TA2 type Mustang. John Yarosz was fourth quickest behind the late model stock car of Bryan Collyer.

Kinsland won the Sat race in GT2. It appears it was run on a wet track. Kennedy and others came in on the first couple laps, probably no rains.

SCCA GT2 has become a very diverse and interesting class in the last couple years with Corvette's, Porsche 997, Viper's, Trans Am 2 Camaro's & Mustang's, & the relatively inexpensive but crazy fast late model Monte Carlo of Bryan Collyer all showing considerable speed.
The old guard cars such as the Sunbeam Tiger, older 911 & 914-6's are still competitive on some tracks but seem to be wanting on the power tracks.
Collyer's stock car (really just a GTA car) has been impressive clocking a 1:52.8 at Daytona late last year.

Sunday GT2 race was won by Bryan Collyer in the late model stock car. Kinsland in the C6 finished a lap down due to some mishap. Bobby Kennedy, who led early in the Howe chassis TA2 type Mustang had an oil leak and had to come in.

I like the left hand dive into the road course off the front straight. Scary fun if you do it right.

I loved T1. I still never got the "ah ha" moment but I was getting faster there each time on the track. I need more laps there.
