Default What size A7's for stock C5Z wheels?

Starting my 3rd year in AS this year in a C5Z. I'm considering picking up some A7 scrubs and running a few events in SSR just for the fun of it.

I already have a couple sets of stock C5Z wheels. What sizes of A7's should I be looking for?

295/30/18 square. Hoosiers run a bit wide.

295-17/315-18 or 315-17/335-18.

Will need spacers to run the larger combo.

There are other sizes that will fit the stock wheels but these are the most common combinations.

I use a 3 mm spacer in the rear with the 335's on stock wheels.

Right, those are the two common ones. Both are fast, the bigger ones are a little more tolerant of slip angle. But they also make the car wider and the fronts stick out enough that depending on your shock and bumpstop arrangement tires can hit the fenders and crack them. Seen it. Could happen on the rear too. Not likely with Koni given they have real, effective bumpstops.

Really it's a matter of which tire you can get easily for your take off. the smaller ones are certainly the more easy button.

Thanks all for your advice. Haven't found any 17" take offs available. Maybe after the racing season gets going in the southern states some will turn up.

No because the OP asked about sizes for stock wheels for SSR, which requires stock size wheels front and rear. Thus, 17x9.5 front and 18x10.5 rear.

Square setups are fantastic, just not relevant to this particular discussion.

Where are you located? SSR is pretty populated on the east coast so you'd have an easier time finding take-offs. The central and western part of the country the class isn't as popular for whatever reason.

I'm in Kansas City. There's not much SSR participation in our region but I'd really like to try the purple crack a few times

Thanks for pointing that out; someone else just schooled me this morning that SSR doesn't allow a wheel diameter change like AS does.

If it's only for fun I suppose I could throw on a 18x10.5 square setup and enter in SSP (or whatever class)...
