Default C6Z06 Track prep: sparco evo 2 and rsd 6 post

This may may have been asked, but the search on the phone app. Doesn't pull it up.

Has anyone installed 2 sparco evo2 seats and a rsd 6 point rollbar? I want to know how it all fits together and how far from the rollbar hoop to the back of the seat. How high is the hoop over the top of the back of the seat. How far back from the seat is to the main hoop? I believe scca rules require the hoop to be 6inches or less from the seat if I am not mistaken.

Is the rsd 6 point scca compliant. I believe it is, but if anyone can confirm. Thanks

I can't answer your question specifically, but, I have seen two evo 2 seats in a c6 and the roll bar was a 4 point unit, no door bars. I have an RPM 6 point with swing out door bars. The bar hits my OMP seat. The seat is set on the seat bracketry as far in as it will go. I'm 195 lb, 33" waste and it fits me snuggly. The bar hits the seat just below the shoulder brace. I can make it close and latch but it does hit the seat. Other than the door bar hitting the seat, I do like the setup. I feel safe and I'm sure the chassis is bound to be a little stiffer. Good Luck

Thank you for the feedback. Does your rpm give you enough room over head to pass the broomstick test?

The problem with the RSD is it is a massive structure fastened to a weak foundation. The cross beam behind the seats is nothing but thin sheet metal that has no vertical strength. In an incident where you hit something the shoulder belts will pull the bar forward and down as the sheet metal collapses. The rear supports look like they go down to the frame but the main hoop support need to be run to the B Pillar near the base of the pillar.
