Default Used Toyo RA1's for sale Speed Challange GT tires Great Price

Hi All,

Got 8 sets of Speed Challange Toyo RA1 tires for sale. Tires all have on average 2/32 to 3/32 rubber left. The tires start life at 8/32 are usually shaved to 4/32 for competition use. All the tires have no more than 4 sessions each on them. Sizes are 275/35-18 & 335/30-18.

Tires will make great track day tires as they still have a few events left in them. The RA1 can be run right to the cords and until you get to that point remain stickey. All you need to do is mount the tires with the less worn side in. This will even the wear and as I said should last a few track events. No flat spots or body rub marks. The set in the photo went on little ride at Laguna Seca, hence the sand.

We sell a new set for $1130.00 You can get these tires for $450 per set. Or if you want more than one set we can make a deal.

Call me at 1.847.244.7050 during the day and ask for Todd. Or you can PM me on the site.

Will the 275 fit on an 18x11 wheel? Won't you see too much oversteer with these on? The 60mm differential is pretty wide between front and rear.

The 275 will fit on the 11" wide wheels. Here is the idea on using the smaller fronts and larger rear tires. 1. Because of the high HP of the Corvette you need the larger rear tires to get the power to the ground. Unlike the smaller cars, BMW, where they have less horesepower getting the car neutral is a good thing. So then tend to use equal size tires. 2. We tried to run 315's on the front and the car just doesn't handle well. The car is slower to turn in and with the extra grip provided by using the 315 on the front combined witht the Corvettes big HP, introduces oversteer into the equation.

So though it seems it would be a bad thing, it actually makes the car work at it's best. This is the best setup our customers have found. Hope this explains the reasoning.

I am interested, but the price for a set versus what a brand new set would cost me seems a little steep. I would still have to pay for shipping, mounting, and balancing. A brand new set of four runs around $1200-1300 in 305 front and 335 rear, so if I can only get a few events out of these, the value doesn't seem to be there.

I would buy multiple sets if they were each less than $450.
