LG Motorsports is Wilwood OEM dealer. Best pricing for Wilwood brake pads/parts
Hi Guys,
Way back when we were first allowed to run aftermarket brakes in the World Challenge in 94, we ran Wilwood Brakes on our Race cars. We won the Championship in 96 using Wilwood Brake Calipers and Pads. So Wilwood made us an official OEM distributor as a bonus.
That means that we can match or beat any prices on Wilwood brake pads, calipers or kits.
So keep LG Motorsports in mind for all your brake needs. And don't forget that we have the best Spindle ducts around.
We look forward to working with all of you for your brake needs.
Don't forget that we have our own Corvette Wilwood brake package that works with a Stock Rotor. That keeps your rotor costs down but still gives you great brakes at under $1400 for the fronts.
We are running a special on the LG Wilwood front C5 brake package for $1399 with Q pads. Our brakes use Wilwood 6 piston calipers and have all the SS brake lines brackets and everything that you need to install this kit using your own Brake rotors.
Or we can supply you with either Drilled and slotted or just slotted rotors as an extra if you wish.
Give us a call.
thanks

Great setup! Send me an email with a price for 14" rotors and new bracket caliper brackets for my car please. What is the rear Wilwood setup with calipers and hats?
I know a person who needs LGM Wilwood kit desperately before we become siamese twins next season.

Hey Lou,
I have heard the Wilwoods will work under the stock C5 17" rims, but not under the Grand Sport 17"? Not sure where I read this, but if so, that poses a problem for me as I run GS rims for track time on my Z06.
I am not about to buy another set of rims...and brakes. Is their a work around?

I will do some research.
I have one prototype C4 package that uses C5 rotors. It needs a spacer or different wheel to make them fit. Depends on which wheels they have.
At any rate, the C4 6 piston package is in prototype stage now with one working model.
Thanks

Matt .750" spacers to clear the Wilwoods from CCW which were cheap and some ARP studs which are cheap also. Gives you more track and it feels good. As you have seen my car loves it
My front right pad was wearing funny taper top to bottom. It was the wheel bearing as it finally gave out at LRP. It felt OK with the car jacked and made no noise. Under load I guess it deflected and started to taper the pad long before any noise at least two event days for sure. Check the bearing carefully mine had 60,000 on it. It was a last winter project which I didn't do. Cost me 3/4 of a beautiful day at LRP which turned out to be my last event of the year.
Lou rears??? send me mail

I've got Lou's Wilwood package, it works pretty good. Pad life is incredible compared to stock calipers. Also the Wilwood pads offer indurance pads which are much thicker.
Lou, I'm running the "J"s on the track, what would you recommend for the street?

Lou,
Please email prices on the Wilwoods for our 01 Z06 and if available for our C4. What is the cost of the spindle ducts and availability.
Thanks, Rod golsancycles@aol.com

I have no way to measure it correctly but it is better. By miles probably not the first time. The important part is after a few laps it is still the same with the LGM Wilwood setup. It gives you the confidence to go deep every lap and not worry about the concrete wall.
As Gary said and I have said in the past they pay for themselves in pad cost rather quickly. I will get three times the wear with a cheaper 7420 pad.

the factory Wilwood 6 piston brake package uses a thinner caliper with a thinner pad. Plus it uses a slightly larger and more offset rotor to clear narrow wheels.
We used a race caliper that will accept a thicker pad. the thicker pad insulates the pistons from the heat better, and longer. Our package fits under a stock Z06 wheel but it needs a small spacer to be used under a stock thin 5 spoke wheel. If you have CCW or other high dollar aftermarket big brake wheel, there is no issue.
One other difference with our package is that you can use either your stock rotor or any aftermarket replacement rotor. Meaning you can use the Wilwood 2 piece hat/rotor combo or you can use a Baer front rotor replacement or any 1 piece rotor, napa, DBA, Stop tech etc.
No matter what rotor you use, you just want them to NOT warp during a weekend event. if I get one full weekend out of a "cheap" rotor, I feel lucky. The Wilwood rotors do seem to last longer than the less expensive rotors.
call for pricing or go on our web site for the Pad Prices. we have Q and J pads in stock.
Thanks
