Default Wanted Apricot Brandy 1954 Corvette

To all,

These are pictures of Apricot Brandy circa 1972-1974. The car belonged to a friend mine. I haven't seen the car since early 1975. Last seen in SW Ohio where it was based. I see want ads. for these old race cars all the time. I wonder if there's a snow ***** chance of finding this car?

It was a 6 cylinder, 4-speed and ran low 11's most of the time. Eventually the car dipped into the high 10's and held an IHRA record.

Any information about this old race Vette would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Would love to see the car. Here are some pics, yours are not showing.

I would have to see the sub 11 second runs ( or for that matter a 11 second run) with my own 2 eyes .

Thanks haccpguy I sent you a private message. The forum will not permit me to post pics. Sorry...please send me an email and I will send you some more pics. The car did run 11's and 10's and went on to hold an IHRA record. I'm tracking that history now.

Thank you!

That is a really good look. So what is the catch regarding it running those times? No weight or huge hp in a 6 cylinder?

A little of both. The car wasn't really cut up so the weight was close to stock but the engine was another story. Combination of hp., 4-speed, 5:38 gear and a really good driver.

I sure would like to hear the rest of this story as my cousin knew the owner back in 1975 and took me to the guys house when I lived in Hamilton Ohio that summer . Beautiful car I remember .

Yes I sure do ! I saw this car when I was 19 in the owners garage. I am hoping that someone knows the out come to this 54 after it was found as it is part of my history growing up when I was young and always wondered where and what happened to it.

Your best bet is to start a new thread in the General Discussion area, rather than hope someone sees this in a 7 year old For Sale/Wanted thread. Copy and paste the pictures and see if anyone has new info. You can also PM the people who posted in this thread directly for better chance at response.

The General section will give you much better exposure.
