Default Paying it forward for 62 lovers

HeyFolks,
Not sure if anyone would have any interest , but I just stumbled up on this 62 roadster.
It is right here in the little town I live in. Went to the parts house in my 67 to buy gaskets .
The guy in the parts house asked if I was interested in a vette in the back for sale ? Of course I said yes. This is what I found.
62 both tops
Hondurous Maroon Original paint
54K Original mile car
Off the road & stored since 1971
Numbers matching ??
Power glide, looks very straight. Note 63 hub caps in trunk.
The guys said he had been offered 10K for it but he felt it was worth at least 20 ??
Might be bought for 17-20 ??? not sure
The guy that showed me the car was Johnny Walker 704-489-2015
Just thought I would pass it on in case someone is interested.

A great find for someone, that 62, shows those cars are STILL out there....glad to see my old ride, the 67, is serving you well, looking terrific, and being taken care of by another Vette Nut !

Default agreed

No way that car is going for 30K
He is just reaching
20K max is what I told him and he seemed to be happy with that
No way it is a 30K car...

Don't give up on this car if you see something you like.
They have no idea of the value on the car.. He is grasping

I recently traded my C-1 project car for another Corvette. The C-1 was frame off, new drivetrain, paint, chrome, and interior. You get the picture, I didn't even try to advertise it.

Times are still tough out there and no one that I know has the money.

I'm sure that the 62 will sell but closer to $20k than $30.

Default 62 Pricing

I would be very interested myself in this car in the 20K range. Finally getting to that stage in my life where I will have time for my muscle car habit/addiction.

I just sent a friend to look at the car. He offered them 22k and they told him to leave because they know what the car is worth and they have been around corvettes all their lives. The lowest they will go is $27,500 which is a little steep

My friend says the car is super clean but not worth $27,500

A few beers and an hour on ebay makes cars like this seem to be a treasure to the uninformed owner.

Like it was said earlier - this one will be sitting there for some time at that kind of number.

I think 22k was a very fair offer for the car. It will cost well over 25k to get it in good condition, and to be honest is it worth around 50k when ready. (Is it really buyers out there willing to pay that theese days?).

Not want to offend any but it´s a tough market theese days and not many in the whole world are willing to spend much right now, market is "nearly dead". Just look at ebay and completed listings, one in 50 cars are actually sold.
