COWLTAG INFORMATION IS AS FOLLOWS:

TR-719 WHICH IS CUSTOM RED DELUXE COMFORTWEAVE INTERIOR

PNT-52 B WHICH IS GARNET RED EXTERIOR PAINT W/BLACK CONVERTIBLE TOP

BUILD DATE 12C WHICH IS THE 3RD WEEK OF DECEMBER 1968

X-11 BODY - WITH Z-21 STYLE TRIM OR Z-22 RALLYSPORT WHICH IT IS, NON SS-396, NON-Z/28, INCLUDES SS-350 WHICH IT IS. THIS IS THE REAL DEAL 1969 CHEVROLET CAMARO RS/SS 350CI/300HP CONVERTIBLE RED ON RED WITH DELUXE INTERIOR - FIND ANOTHER ONE LIKE THIS - IT IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE. WHO EVER SPECIAL ORDERED THIS CAR BACK IN THE DAY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB.

ENGINE SUFFIX CODE IS V1209HB WHICH IS THE ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING/BORN WITH 350CI/300HP ENGINE BUILT DECEMBER THE 9TH-BUILD DATE OF CAR IS THE 3RD WEEK OF DECEMBER WHICH LINES UP PERFECT AS IT SHOULD. THE CAR CAME DOWN THE ASSEMBLY LINE THE 3RD WEEK OF DECEMBER AND THE ENGINE WAS ALREADY BUILT THE SECOND WEEK OF DECEMBER AND WAITING TO BE INSTALLED. OF COURSE THE ENGINES WERE ALWAYS BUILT BEFORE THE CARS CAME DOWN THE ASSEMBLY LINE.

AS STATED ABOVE MANY POSSIBILITIES WITH THIS ONE - LEAVE THE ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING ENGINE IN THE CAR OR GO A DIFFERENT ROUTE - I OFTEN THOUGHT ABOUT BAGGING THE FACTORY ENGINE UP AND STORING IT AWAY AND GOING A NEWER ROUTE AND INSTALLING A NEWER STYLE LS TYPE ENGINE. WOULD NOT ALTER THE VALUE ONE BIT AS LONG AS YOU KEEP THE ORIGINAL ENGINE WITH THE CAR.

Very Nice 69!
I had a 69 SS/RS BB Camaro years ago.

Nice car but I have a question. You've been trying to sell it for well over a year in it's unfinished state. Why don't you finish it? It would not only be easier to sell/trade but worth more money as well. Just curious. Good luck.
