This extremely original 1962 Corvette Convertible runs and drives nicely, and is one of just 995 built with SUPER-RARE power windows!!!! Side glass shows correct date codes. Front chrome bumpers and grille look to have been re-chromed somewhat recently, and are in good to very good condition. Exterior door handles are in good original condition with no apparent pitting or other major flaws. This 1962 Corvette Convertible wears correct style hubcaps. Wheels are in good condition with no typical exterior chips, and wear a set of recent thin whitewall radial tires with an average of 10/32nds tread depth remaining. The interior of this 1962 Corvette Convertible looks to be very much original, with good condition door panels, and dash pad. Seatbelts are present, and in good condition, and a correct-appearing Wonderbar AM radio is in place as well. The engine in this 1962 Corvette Convertible shows casting number 3932386, and stamp pad shows suffix 'FC'. This engine shows a casting date of November 18, 1968, and a final assembly date of November 20, 1968. Based on this information, we believe this to be a 235hp 327ci engine that was originally installed in a non-Corvette 1969 model year Chevrolet car or truck. Intake manifold shows a correct casting date for a 1962 Corvette, and high-horsepower finned aluminum factory style valve covers are present, along with ignition shielding and correct hose clamps. Fuel is fed through a new Summit carburetor with a correct appearing air cleaner, and the frame is solid and rust-free. This car also features a BRAND NEW aluminum radiator. This car has been fully serviced, and all instrument gauges, lights, turn signals, brakes, engine, transmission and rear-end are all in good operating condition.
