1967 Convertible Corvette for sale
327 c.i. 350 hp.
4 speed manual
50,000 Miles
Silver with Black Interior
Description:
My 88 year old father is the second owner and has owned the car for 35 years. It has been driven very lightly in the summertime. I had it shipped out to Los Angeles from Minneapolis a few months ago. It has a new soft top and new upholstery that my dad never got around to installing. It is not restored, it is a lightly driven original car that has had minor repairs as needed since 1967. I have the service records from my father and the original owner. It has four rare options, the 350 hp. small block engine, the road exhaust/side pipes, the telescoping steering column, and the original chrome luggage rack. These options in a 1967 convertible, plus the timeless silver with black interior, gives this car the potential to be the iconic small block corvette of the most desirable era.
Price: $35,000 OBO
Location: Los Angeles CA

Burning Brakes
gone soon
Hey, even if the block is not original, I agree with revfan. This could be the deal of the summer. It would not surprise me to see it gone soon then reappear for a more realistic price later. This appears to be a bottom feeders delight. Two owners!! All the docs!! "gone in60 sec" Well almost.

Good buy. Although he didn't mention it, the car has PB and PS too.

This ad just came in last night and recognizing the value and quality of the car, we posted here on the Corvette Forum right away so that CF members can have first shot at it.
We don't know anything more about this Corvette than what is listed above and the only photos are what was provided by the seller.
Any questions should be directed to the seller through the links above. If we do get any more info about the Corvette, we'll make sure to post it.
Thanks for your interest!

Seller informed me that a local guy looked at the car today at the shop the car is being stored at and reported that the frame is rotted on both sides and would need 3 foot sections on each side replaced.
Seller gave me the local guys # and he confirmed the bad news
With that new information Im going to pass on the car. I knew it was to good to be true.

Burning Brakes
A good project
The price is more in line with what the car is(IMO). Looks like it could use a frame, still if the paint is original(no hit glass), and it has 50K documented miles, and all of the other paperwork is in order, this looks like a good project with potential...just requires MANY hours of work. or if you are like me and you enjoy working on C2's, still many hours of work.

Well the rust was just the deal breaker. Speedometer stopped working years ago according to the repair receipts. for many years since the eighties the receipts have the same mileage that the car has now. Sidepipes were added in 1976. (Not that it matters).
Seller could not confirm original engine but thought it was.
But the only real issue that bothered me was the rust
its tough buying a car in California when you live in New York.

Right about the rust.
If the frame is rusted that bad, I can not imagine the condition of the hundreds of other metal parts on the car. Especially underneath.
It is hard on cars up here in the NE. Rust eats everything metal.
Hard to understand that Maine does not use salt. Vermont does. Maine gets as much or more snow than we do????
Now they are spreading this briny mixture(liquefied, like saltwater).
We would not have such a problem if people just got their head out of their and drove as road conditions permit.
Be thankful if you live where you can drive your car year round and not see salt. I hope to experience that sensation soon.

I suspected being a MN car that this thing would have a rusty frame. I was trying to buy a PA car until he sent pics of the frame and rear suspension. Looked it was stored in a salt water bath for many years.
