Default Estimated cost to have this finished ?

I have interest in this 61 and wonder what forum members think it will cost to have it finished ?

Assuming it will need nothing mechanically...just paint, installation of all trim, windshield and completion off the interior. If this is all done professionally what do you estimate it will cost ?

thanks-

The big cost here is the paint. Depending on the shop, I would say on the average, 10-15K for paint and another 10K for parts and labor so 20-25K to finish imo. Looks like a nice project.

Hello, Folks

10-15k in Paint to me sounds crazy!!. Around these parts a high end paint job runs around 7-10K...I've been restoring cars and trucks for 20 years. I crunched numbers on this car and all together I would be in 12-15K to bring her into the mid fifties.. The finish is in the color sanding and buffing!!

Yes you can get a driver for around the 40K mark.. But was it started with a foundation worthy of paying that. What's under the paint?? This car belonged to a fella who owned a high end Corvette shop. He was building it for himself so it was meticulously gone through. The glass is excellent. the frame has zero rust through. Very tight car. Pictures don't do it justice.. Trust me..

It would be a really good car for someone who appreciates a good 61. Don't forget the motor was rebuilt..$3000-$4500 expense. The tires and wheel covers are brand new..$1000 -1200 expense. If you have to pay someone to completely finish the car than it may not be the car for you. If you are a person that can do most of the work yourself, than it would be well worth it.

Original color was White w/Red Coves.

The cove trim is brand new NOS. Still in the GM packaging. The fender trim is excellent and will cleanup to like new. All other trim is in good driver condition. Some pieces are better than others.. Will need rear light buckets.
