Jim--thanks for your reply. I had talked with Roy several months ago. That car has been sold for quite some time.

'60 Cascade green is a totally different color - kind of a metallic pea green. Similar to '66 Mossport green but slightly darker and more green. Sounds gross but it's actually very beautiful.

There's a very high quality '60 Cascade green car in my local area. I've seen it several times at shows and it's always stunning. I seem to remember it's either 270hp or fuel injected. I don't know who owns it and I doubt it's for sale.

I know the owner of the '60 Cascade Green you are speaking of. He has recently moved to the Las Vegas area. I also know that he will never sell that car. Fantastic car, fantastic owner.

Yeah, people get confused with the bright aqua teal of the early cars.

This Cascade Green was at Mecum's Indy auction last year:

I would also bet that many of the ones that you do see were "created" and not born that way, so no harm no foul. Just never represent it as an original Cascade Green.
Good luck,

Great point.

The hardest thing in your search wont be finding the car, it will be finding the car that also has some sort of original documentation that proves it came that way- if the color being original matters to you.

If not, get a good car and paint it.

I have a 60 that is originally Cascade Green, the COLOUR designation was written in the passenger side area of the trunk behind the cardboard divider. We found it when the car was being painted not CG. The car when I purchased it and still is similar to artic Blue/white coves, frost blue interior, white top. A numer of years ago we attended a Vett show at the then GM tech centre in Detroit area, We parked across from a Cascade Green 60, in talking to the owner he showed me the number of cars produced in this colour to be about 106. The car is a driver no matching numbers but shows well, placed in top 25,at Frankenmuth Mi around 2500 cars.
