I'd appreciate it if some forum members would give me their opinions on what our 62 is worth, if I have it priced accurately.

I had it listed in ebay recently for 62k and am negotiating with an interested party.

I'm in no hurry to sell. My plan is to consign it in spring. Looking at other 62's for sale - there are 44 in Hemmings now and nearly half are priced at 70k and up.

Thanks-

It appears that these days prices for C1 Corvettes are all over the place.
I think your car is very nice but priced high due to the 300 HP and the Powerglide and no hardtop.
Good luck.

but I do think if you stick to your guns, you should be able to get 60K for it........it just might take a while. Beautiful car, and the color is my favorite on a 62.

Beautiful '62, love the color also. My '62 has the 300hp, 2-tops, 4-speed, posi., ermine white, etc., etc.. and offers have been all over the place also. I had $60K for awhile locally, but the economy was pretty slow a couple of years ago. I turned down $51K at the time and have not regretted it. Your price may be a little high, but so what, you can always come down. E-bay is fantasy land, don't spend much time there. Much more valuable advise on this site, and great people here to help out. Best of luck.

Default Trades ?

In case any C2 owners have interest in this solid axle I'd consider a trade for a 63 SWC or a 65-66-67 coupe or convertible. Only requirements are original engine and for the 65-67 would prefer it be a L79 or higher HP car.

Cash can go either way- unfinished cars needing some restoration/paint are ok but no basket cases please.

Thx

Orangebrothers- thanks for the compliment on our 62. Just woke her from hibernation last week. Our son was very happy to get picked up from school with it.

Spring is here...Going to list her in several websites this week.

Just looked at prices of 1962 Corvettes in usedcorvettesforsale.com

22 listed there, only 8 are priced below 65k and none of those 8 have their original engines.

Just listed her in ebay. Added that I'll spring for enclosed shipping for the posted price of 62k.

If its possible to have "sellers remorse" before you even let a car go...then I have it. Went out for a drive Friday evening with my son - loved every minute behind the wheel of this car.

Just don't have the time to get her the amount of Vitamin D she deserves...that was only her 3rd time out this year.
