Default FS 63 Corvette Conv Triple Black

I purchased this car in December 2013 for $51K from MiguelsC2 (Houston) when he listed it on the forum. MiguelsC2 spent five years restoring with great attention to details which immediately impressed me when I saw and drove the car. The car has been garaged while restoration continued for the past year. With MiguelsC2's permission I have included some of what he did before I got the car and added a partial restoration list during the past year while I owned the car.
1963 Sting Ray triple black convertible, VIN#30867S113412, 4 speed, 327/340hp, a/c, hard top and soft top, frame off restoration.
Date correct Corvette "2870 block" 327 .030" overbore 10.5 to 1. Factory forged pistons, '63 Duntov "097" solid lifter camshaft, 461 double hump matching heads, 2.02 valves, pocket ports matched to 1965 365hp "461" high rise intake and 2 1/2 cast iron exhaust manifolds. Holley 600 cfm with a '67 C2 air cleaner. Above work performed by West Side Performance and Machine in Houston, Texas

Off Road N-11 2 1/2 inch, aluminized, welded exhaust system. Sounds great and fits perfect!
Centerforce II clutch makes for strong lock up and a nice soft pedal.
Rebuilt and properly curved factory distributor with Pertronix II electronic ignition. No outward appearance of anything but a stock system using period correct wires and plugs.
All chrome shielding is in place.
Dewitts dated factory correct reproduction radiator with SPAL fan inside shroud. Works in tandem with factory fan and proper clutch.
Runs under 200 degrees in Texas summers with a/c on.
Original type alternator upgraded to 120 amp to handle a/c and cooling fan.
Points type relay converted to solid state. GM repro hoses and clamps.
All under hood components are either rebuilt or restored.

Muncie M-20 4 speed with 2.54 1st gear and 3.36 Posi traction differential. All freshly rebuilt.

1965 C2 4 wheel discs brakes using all factory parts.
Trailing arms rebuilt and restored by Bairs. Including parking brakes. They also adjusted discs for runout and properly riveted the rotors.
All new suspension and body bushings using factory type replacements. No urethane.
Half Shafts rebuilt and balanced with new joints all around, including french locks.
New drive shaft-balanced.

Body:
BLK/BLK/BLK
Straight lines, proper gaps, original glass. New fuel tank and gas lines.
New brake lines.
Perfect chrome on bumpers. Grille and bumpers are installed perfect. Laser straight. Headlights restored and motors rebuilt. New front wiring harness.
Interior:
Steering column rebuilt and restored inside and out
Instrument and gauge cluster rebuilt and restored including clock. Clock has quartz movement.
AM/FM Radio restored by Jerry Rudbeck with a proper matching reproduction speaker for original sound.

Dynamat insulation from firewall to rear bulkhead followed by ceramic matting underneath new Al Knoch carpets. Proper factory type firewall insulation installed.
Real teak steering wheel.
Old style Vintage Air installed that blows ice cold which uses factory controls and has original unaltered appearance, i.e. no new holes were cut. New repro seat belts
Pedal assembly rebuilt and renewed.
Below are a few of the things the car has seen since I purchased the car last year:
Installed new soft top and repaired/repainted hardtop. Restored both doors with all new window channels, felt, weather stripping, door handles, vent window regulators and proper alignment. Both vent window frames where carried to a plating shop where they were tripled chrome plated. Replaced the left vent glass that was scratched. New bolt on 'knock off' wheels with new P215/70R15 tires. New upper windshield NOS chrome molding. Installed new 9 leaf rear and NOS variable rate front coil springs with new Delco OEM shocks to bring the ride back to original. Replaced several LED bulbs and rebuilt signal light cancelling mechanism. Several other items too numerious to list. I have receipts for all work/parts during the past year. I currently have more in the car than the asking price but have no regrets because it has been fun showing her off at local classic car shows and even lucky enough to pick up an award now and then.
This is one of the nicest 63 vettes being offered for $63K or best serious offer. If you have questions about the car I will be happy to answer. The car is located in McKinney, Texas.

Hey is this Colton's grandpa? Have you move to NC yet? You know I remember you telling me that once you completely fix up your classic then you'll get the itch to move on to the next project.......... you are a very wise man........... I can never thank you enough for all the help you gave me in finding my C1 a few years back. While this 63 drives so much better than the 59 did, the C1's will always have that great classic look. Garry, so great to hear from you!

Added to the Photobucket collage photo's of the Vette with factory spinner hubcaps on 15X5.5 steel wheels which gives her a different look. Car currently has bolt on 'knock offs' but spinner hubcaps and steel wheels also come with the car.

Thanks Vettebuyer for the 'upgrade' on the post. Having the photo be the Photobucket link is much better. This way one can see a quick look at the car without having to go to Photobucket, which some times does not work that well. Thanks again.

Yes the car is still on the market. I also need to clarify another question someone ask me. I am not a dealer even though the rear license plate states 'DEALER'. That is a metal plate that the car dealer had for his cars that he wanted to use as demo's. I just thought it was neat to have a 1963 dealer's plate and be able to register the car with that very plate on the title. If you have any other questions about the car please let me know. Thanks.
