'63 convertible resto-mod project for sale

All interest I've had on the project was from folks who didn't want my engine & transmission combo; so I've pulled them out to use on other projects. The value of what remains is $44K; so that's the new ask price. Reasonable offers considered.

No luck selling over the summer; so I kept going with the project in the fall. I hauled it back to the body shop on Monday the 4th to finish the body prep & paint work. The pictures below show it in gel coat. The frame and everything else are all powder coated, brake & fuel lines run, and the body dropped back on for the final time. I've already bought the controller & harness for an LS376/480HP crate engine and mocked that up to work out the mounting & routing. Engine and transmission have not been bought and won't be until close to the end. I won't go into all of the details here, but there has been a ton of other work done, and a small fortune in parts bought and staged, waiting for final assembly. By early February, I'll be committing to a color, and by mid-February, it will be painted. If I pick the color, it's probably going to be Porsche Anthracite Brown, but I'll probably change my mind a few times between now and then. You know how that goes.
I'm advertising this one last time to see if anyone wants to buy this project in progress while you still have a chance to pick your own color or pull the plug and have your own body shop finish it. Price at this point is $75K, and that number will keep going up as my paint guy invoices me for his work over the next several weeks. I've got a pretty detailed BoM and project plan worked out showing another $24-25K to complete with me doing the assembly work and the final cut & buff on the paint; so that's about what you should expect. ~$11K of that is the crate engine, accessories, and TKO600 transmission kit, and another $6K is for what's left to get it into paint. The rest is miscellaneous parts, chrome plating, etc.
Someone always asks, so I'll go ahead and answer that I have zero interest in splitting up the body from the chassis or parting it out in any way. If I don't sell the whole package, then it's getting finished by next summer.
If interested, contact me via PM or at 682-201-5804, and we'll see if we can make a deal.
