Default FS: Survivor 1966 Hard Top Converible

Survivor 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible with hard top.
327 CID 300 HP engine, automatic transmission, power steering, AM/FM radio, Knock-off wheels, teak steering wheel.

I've got the car listed locally for $65000 obo.

Great condition nose to tail. All original except wear items. Matching numbers. Mileage slightly less then 27k. Still has original tools including the lead hammer although one side has been used. I also have the original seat covers that were supposed to keep you cool. They look really uncomfortable and look like they were never used.

Everything works except the tachometer. I have replaced the tach drive gear once but it seems the distributor is the issue. Car runs great so it hasn't been a priority. Original enamel paint has a few minor imperfections but is still glossy and in incredible shape. The only part that has been replaced and should not have been is the carburetor. It's still a Holley but it is an electric choke instead of the manifold and obviously, doesn't have the right date stamp. It was swapped before I purchased the car.

* Garage kept and covered.
* Only oil with sacrificial metals used (lucas high zinc) and not just off the shelf stuff.
* New brake calipers all the way around. They were leaking. New master cylinder as well.
* Added small electric fan on the radiator. Totally separate from the factory electrical system. (no splicing or changing wires)
* New alternator.
* Lead additive with every fill up.

The part that sucks is the location. The car is on the big island of Hawaii. If you do happen to live here, please come by and see it!

Thanks for reading and feel free to hit me with opinions and comments.

Hi where did you get the dash protector?
Saves a lot wear and tear from that Hawaiian sun, I am sure.

I picked it up from amazon. Best fitting dash cover I've had for any car. I don't use anything to hold it down and it doesn't move, even with the top off. She doesn't see much time out in the sun to be honest. I bought it as more of an investment then a driver, although if no one wants to buy it in the next few months, I might start driving it to work while I pull the engine on my bronco.

That is one beautiful and appears to be highly original car, Seth.

The topless photos were in Haleiwa. I moved to the big island soon after and the rest were taken in Waimea where the car currently lives.
