Beauty.
OP I love your avatar. Sat next to Mark Donohue on the Pit Wall at Mosport in 1973 with that beast just feet away.
Incredible car.

Further OP: I attended the 1973 Can Am at Laguna Seca. Watching him lap the entire field made for a boring race but an unforgettable experience nonetheless.

August 1975 was a sad time for me.

classic text book scam warning if you ask me
besides thats cars of this nature get sold word of mouth. there is no need to advertise. there is a close net circle of collectors that all know where the good cars are. something is fishy

It is listed here on the forum, and the guy sounds like he attends Corvette events.

From my understanding there were 199 of these cars and less than 50 came with the 36 gallon fuel tank. There were also even fewer that had factory heater delete.
My granddad owned and sold a 63 big tank heater delete Z06.

Be cautious, there are scam artists out there who take ebay adds and re-list them on craigslist in other states. I ran into that here in VA. Just take any information they give you or use with you and report it to your local FBI site office.
Not saying at all this is one but just an FYI because knowledge is power my friends.

Remember if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck,... chances are it's a duck!
Absolutely beautiful car though, no doubt about it!

Hi Guys
This is my ZO6 that I am selling on CL. I am looking for a good home for it as it is a really great original car. This car spent most of its life in southern California as a daily driver. Never raced so it has all of the ZO6 parts in place never removed. No roll bars or body modifications either. The auction company's have been calling very week wanting the car but I want to sell it privately. So if you know of anyone looking for a rare SWC pass my information on to them.
For information, 1963 ZO6's came with the standard 20 gallon fuel tank and the 36 gallon fuel was an option after December 1962. This is a February 1963 built car with the 20 gallon fuel tank. The radio was also available as an option on ZO6's. Heaters were standard equipment in most cases.
Thanks to the forum for all of the great wealth of knowledge that is past on to all of us.

Gents;
I was the crew chief for two Type 61E FFs at the 1975 June Sprints where Randy Townsend in his 917/10-015 decimated Jerry Hansen's M8-F, as well as everyone else in the field. It was the end of the Can Am series, as the Porsche's HP, aero, chassis design and handling characteristics obsoleted EVERYTHING else.
I really miss the guttural sounds of the BBCs as follows:
Turn this one up REEAAALLL LOUD.
