1964 Convertible driver for sale
Red with white interior / 2 tops / 327/365 posi 3.70 axle 4 spd
Michellin redline radials from Diamond Back (less than 10k wear) on '68 Corvette wheels with caps & trim rings.
The body has a number of flaws but the paint and chrome are good and the car looks great from 15ft getting many compliments from casual public observers. This is no show car but it is a joy to drive. I purchased it in Feb 2010 from a local Chev dealership. It was a personal ride for the owner and his wife. I was given very little documentation and the odometer is frozen at 84091. I drive her for my work commute (15 miles total) from April thru Oct on dry days. Everything on dash works (radio, gauges, clock, tach, speedo). Headlight mechanisms work properly as well as all lights, wipers and horn.
It has front disc brake conversion that works well (power assisted).
No AC / manual steering.
The dash and carpeting are faded and could use refresh.
Many mechanical items have been attended to: shocks, bushings, water pump, brakes, alt, starter, volt reg.
The engine is a '65 block 327 with Edlebrock intake and large Holley carb(rebuilt). It never runs hot. The side exhaust gives the car a nice "muscle car" sound.
Asking $37,000 no trades
Reason for sale - new Corvette on order - have storage issues

Burning Brakes
Nice looking car. It also has a teak wheel. I have one on my 67. Along with the shifter, It is the point where the driver interfaces with the car. A teak wheel is one of the nicest options available.IMO. Hard to believe that they cost only around $37 new. They are much sought after, and an original wheel in nice condition can go for $2K+. GLWTS
