FS: '66 coupe for $50K (Fort Worth, TX)
#1
SOLD: '66 coupe for $50K (Fort Worth, TX)
***SOLD***
Just completed total rebuild / resto-mod of this '66 Corvette coupe. Paint color is called Dark Bowling Green Metallic, which is a 2000-2001 Corvette color.
Features:
- Bird-cage is rust free...as nice as you'll ever find.
- Frame is rust/damage free and in excellent condition.
- Many fiberglass panels replaced, including rear fenders, tail-lamp panel, one-piece front end with new inner fenders, hood.
- ZZ4 350ci crate motor with 2,500 miles (355 HP / 400 lb-ft torque)
- Brand new Tremec TKO600 5-speed transmission w/ .64:1 OD
- 3.36:1 rear end gear ratio
- New half shafts
- New HD offset trailing arms
- New original style brakes all around with upgrade to '67 power assist unit, dual reservoir master cylinder and proportioning valve
- Steeroids brand rack & pinion steering system upgrade
- Vintage Air brand air conditioning (work excellent!)
- 17x7" American Racing Torque Thrust wheels with new 225 Z-rated summer compound Hankook tires (sticks great!)
- New Allen's stainless steel 2 1/2" chambered side exhaust
- New DeWitts aluminum radiator
- Everything electrical (harnesses, switches, motors, bulbs, etc.) is brand new
- Clock is brand new; gauges are not new but work great except for ammeter. (Charging system has been checked out and is working great; so no issues, but the gauge needs replaced next time the dash come out for any reason.)
- Interior is all new. Door panels are sort of a custom version of a '63-64 style door panel instead of typical '65-67 style.
Car was a theft recovery in the early '80s and has a state-issued VIN plate from Pennsylvania. It has a clear TX title in my name, and the VIN plate issue is absolutely no problem. Some people get weird about that, but I guarantee it's a non-issue at the DMV.
The car speaks for itself. It's not an original car; so if that's what you're looking for, this isn't it. It's been completely rebuilt with upgrades that make it much more fun to drive. Price is $50K, firm, which is $158.43 less than what I have in it. Not trying to make money, just liberate the cash to go find a new project.
Thanks for your interest.

Congrats on the sale. I wish I was ready to buy because that would have been the perfect C2 for me.
Hopefully in the next few months when my funds come in I will find another one like it.
