Default Looking For An Inexpensive '67, NOM BB?

Not mine nor my "cup-of-tea" It's in SoCal and seems like a reasonable car for the money.

Asking price is $39,500.

Even a NOM 67 BB is not cheap if it is documented and correct. For what the asking price is of this car, it is a t**d.

One of the funnier ads for a corvette that I've ever seen:

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS WELCOME! I can be reached at (76O) 8O5-8038. If you want a mid-year Corvette that you can actually drive and enjoy like it was meant to do, THIS IS IT! It is a 1967 Big Block Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Roadster that is fast, fun, and mean. I have zero interest in dealing with Corvette numbers ***** that want to know if it the correct date coded water in the radiator. This is not a numbers matching Vette that lives it's life in a climate controlled bubble! It is a LS7 big block Chevy that is very strong. 4 speed manual transmission, four wheel disc brakes. I believe it is an original 427 car, but without a tank sticker or the original engine it is pretty tough to verify. It really doesn't matter to me. The paint is probably 15 years old and has chips and scratches. The frame is solid. Mild rear flares. I have the hardtop for it. No convertible soft top. It is red with a black Stinger and has red leather interior with headrests. The interior is very nice. It has Hooker side exhaust on it that sounds great. Wire wheels. It needs tires. I also have a set of offset Turbine wheels with Radial T/As for the car which I will include. I also have a set of factory sidepipes with covers that I will only sell to the buyer of this car. They are not included unless someone wants it for a full price offer, which I consider to be very reasonable. It is difficult enough to find a 67 these days, and even more so to find one that is not priced like a house. If you find a big block 67 driver for a better price, you should buy it. I priced mine to move now. Clean, clear California title in hand with current registration. I am located in Solana Beach, California. Thanks!

The correct date coded water in the rad

If I was on Wheel of Fortune, I would guess that t**d stands for turd?

I've seen mid years for a lot more money that would need $25K just to be able to start them. If you changed those wheels and had stock pipes, I would think it to be a decent driver for the money.

I happen to be a fan of just about any car that has a hood scoop and flared fenders {just my personal taste}.
There are a lot more outlandish mid year creations that probably venture into "turdland" but, sorry, I don't think that this one does.
Just my $.02. Purists are entitled to their opinions, but they sometimes come off as a bit too "holier than thou" for me.

This actually seems like a good price for the car based on the ad and pics.. Makes me wonder if the ad is a scam.

Change those few/easy items and you'd have a fun car for the money...

I'm with you. It dose no good name calling someone else's car. If it was a BB then I believe the price is not too far off for a white/red BB corvette conv. Some people can't spend 130000.00$ on a Corvette & another 25000.00 to get all the right parts for it

The ad claims the car has a LS7. I don't claim to be an expert on engines, but that does not look like a LS7 to me. Fishy ad.

I'm thinking maybe an early '70's LS7?

There are also people who can spend it if they want, but don't want to drive around in a $130000 car.

They would rather have a $39000 car that they feel free to drive anywhere without worries.

I would definitely not call this car a t**d.

I'd call it a fun car to drive daily in the summer

Chevy never made LS7 for the Corvette, it was scheaduled as a option in 1970. But never made it into production. My guess without the block code is that this car has a LS5 or LS4 454. Chevy did produce the LS7 as a crate motor, but it is still very rare. If I had a dollar for every time someone told me their BB was a LS7, I would have a Bloomington Gold BB in my garage by now.

Yeah, I was just referencing that it was was certainly no modern LS7 in the car since the seller said that was the specific model motor...Beyond that it's pure speculation on what is actually the type block until someone gets a look at it.

Its not a bad 67 for the price. the interior looks good, outside is ok if you dont mind the flares. Running, driving, 67 for under 40k isnt a T**d in my book.
