Thanks for the kind response! I wanted to price the car (I think) reasonable. Thats about what I have into it. I've bought and sold Corvette's since I was 19 and used to buy them for 800 bucks !!! They are getting too pricey for the average enthusiest. I'm not a dreamer, the car is nice enough that if somebody wanted to stick another 5 grand into it and some resoucefulness you should end up with a 55000.00 car in 4 or 5 years. Thats the way it should be. I still look at a lot of cars for sale and it's easy to lose 10 grand on a cheap 'barn find' or great deal after you put a ton of work into it. I would like to see it go to somebody with the 'passion' It's not totally about the money. The guys on this forum seem to be those kind of people as opposed to other 'wheeler dealer' type fast buck preditors.

Don't know for sure, haven't had the rocker covers off, it ticks a little but doesn't sound like a solid lifter cam, I've been getting comments like 'I can buy one with a clean engine for 35. I'm getting ready to pull the covers off, adjust and check out what lifters are in it, buy the right air cleaner and all the shielding for the plug wires. It also has the wrong coil bracket and I will detail the intake and engine compartment at that time for all the crybaby know it all's. The lifter question is a valid one it was on my list. The car also has a premo hard top available to the 'right buyer'. As you can tell from my demeanor, I am somewhat exasperated with my selling experience. I was thinking about just giving it to a broker who markets overseas but I really don't want that to happen. I thank the good Lord everyday that I don't 'have' to sell it. Thanks for the kind replies. All the 'experts' came from Craigslist. That seems to be a breeding ground !!!!

Good luck with your sale and dont let the "know-it-alls" get you down. The car is fairly priced and it will sell. It will make someone a fun toy.
