Default Question re: '66 Hood

Howdy! I'm fairly new to this website/forum as I'm researching C2 series Corvettes.....I intend to purchase in the near future. I'm curious about the characteristics of the hood on this car that denote it being a '66 hood. From looking at the photos my thoughts are the difference has to be on the underneath. Perhaps someone could post a picture of a '67 hood for comparison/educational purposes! Thanks!

I'd like to go see it but it's in Washington way to far from me in Mississippi.
It looks like a great car for a fair price.

bottom left corner of the hood on the red 67 has an emblem. That makes that hood a 66, no emblems on 67 hoods.

I just added additional pictures taken yesterday, to address questions about the condition of the chrome and door, hood and headlight bucket fit.

All chrome bumpers and bright trim is in excellent condition.

I also added a copy of the appraisal I had done by Corvettes and High Performance, shortly after I bought the car.
Two items listed in the appraisal have changed, the "missing" power window conduits have been added, and the TRW monoleaf spring was replaced with a stock leaf spring.
That work was also performed by Corvettes & High Performance.

Why can't it be a 67 hood that somebody put the 66 emblem on?

Could be the original hood if it was an early production 67 and this was a late September car... We may never now what happened.
