I'm glad you like the car!

I would be happy to take the car to any local mechanic of your choosing to have it checked out.

Hi Warren,

Nice '67 and a fair price! A couple of questions and you can reply with a PM or send me an email (mesaclaims@aol.com) if you prefer.

Was the Vette stripped prior to refinishing and what type of paint material was applied (acrylic lacquer, urethane, etc)? Is the front end original and/or have their been previous repairs with panels replaced? Any history on previous owners and has the '67 been a Western car its entire life?

Thanks for your time.

Keith

Default 1967 Coupe 327 NOM For Sale

I am a little confused. How is it not the original engine but the serial number on the block matches the Vin#?

I see where the block matches the trans VIN stamp. Where is the car's VIN listed?

It has a 66 hood. Did anyone else catch that?

engine pad stamping matches the car's vin # 194377S101569
build date is last week of September 1966
Casting date for the block according to the seller is a first week of June 66 there is a bit of a gap between the two.

In the link with Additional Photos. I see the Vin# tag next to the Trim/Paint tag.

Beautiful car at a fair price. I'd have to see the front pad stamp in person or ask Al to take a look at it. http://ccas4vettes.com

His add states-----
1967 Corvette Coupe - Rally Red - 327ci 350hp L-79 (non original engine)

Looking for a solid 1967 Corvette Coupe, that is a non-original engine car, that looks fantastic and thrilling to drive?

He is upfront as can be about being NON ORIGINAL MOTOR

Yes the '66 hood is odd. It was on the car when I bought it, and the previous owner said it was on the car when he got it. I wish I knew the history behind it. It is what it is.

The previous owner had the engine built for this car, I assume he had the pad stamped to match, but the block is obviously from '66 judging from the casting numbers. He provided me with all the engine build information, and I will pass that along with the car.

I'm not trying to pull the wool over anyone here, I just want to be honest in what I know about the car.

I for one don't feel you are trying to do anything under the radar your description and replies to all questions have been answered. Bob
