I would be happy to take the car to any local mechanic of your choosing to have it checked out.

Hi Warren,
Nice '67 and a fair price! A couple of questions and you can reply with a PM or send me an email (mesaclaims@aol.com) if you prefer.
Was the Vette stripped prior to refinishing and what type of paint material was applied (acrylic lacquer, urethane, etc)? Is the front end original and/or have their been previous repairs with panels replaced? Any history on previous owners and has the '67 been a Western car its entire life?
Thanks for your time.
Keith

build date is last week of September 1966
Casting date for the block according to the seller is a first week of June 66 there is a bit of a gap between the two.

Yes the '66 hood is odd. It was on the car when I bought it, and the previous owner said it was on the car when he got it. I wish I knew the history behind it. It is what it is.
The previous owner had the engine built for this car, I assume he had the pad stamped to match, but the block is obviously from '66 judging from the casting numbers. He provided me with all the engine build information, and I will pass that along with the car.
I'm not trying to pull the wool over anyone here, I just want to be honest in what I know about the car.
