Yeah... that is a looker. I love the Corvette Blues. Not a big fan of the Reds... but they certainly nailed all the blues (Daytona, Nassau, Marina, Lyndale, Trophy, Laguna... not a bad one in the lot!
I should have some car inspections coming up this weekend... got my fingers crossed. Both are lookers, but pictures can be deceiving (I had an inspection on a Black/Red 396 car that looked great in pictures, but turned out to have a sloppily replaced front surround, AND a fake Trim Tag... ugghhh)
Thank goodness for Inspectors!

That sure is a beauty lawdawg,
but I'd probably have to sell a kidney to make up the difference between what I have, and what that car would bring....

I have a REAL 63 RED/FI 2 top roadster I have the original FI unit and air cleaner. The car is NOM but came out of Dallas and the frame is great. I believe the car is never been hit. If you are interested please give me a call and I will fill you in on all the info I have. I am asking $48000. I have many new parts and she drive good. Mostly original interior.

Thanks for the leads guys!
The Saddle Car certainly is nice... its certainly a contender.
I got PM'd with a car I am pretty excited to get more info on... in my favorite color so my fingers are crossed that it would work out.
If not, the 65 red/red coupe at the NCRS site looks very nice too.
But, still no car in my garage, so if you have any leads... please send them on!

Greg- you know my deep affection for 64's and I know how much you love a convertible. I'm not telling you anything you don't know but I feel you can have an excellent 63/64 convertible that is well maintained for less than your budget. I continue to favor all years over '67's, not only because of price.

All midyears are special, but why all the hoopla around the '67? I would like to hear some of your reasons for preferring other years. I am much the same way. The '64 offers the best value. I like all the small block engine options in '65 and the disc brakes. The '63s will always be special due to the distinctive differences between it and other years. Sure, '67s have their benefits, mostly the 427 engine options, but I feel like you do, they are comparatively over priced.
I also like the early vibe of the interior.
I do like all Sting Rays, I just happen to like '64's a little better. I'd say I like 64's, then 65/66 a close second. Sometimes these discussions get ugly- so I say again it's all preference.

Sure- it's all preference but I like the side coves as on a 63, but I think the 64 hood looks "right" with the depressions without the 63 extra trim. Since I like coupes, I prefer 64-67 coupes, the 63 is revolutionary for many things but the actual split window doesn't draw me in as much as the large single glass.
