Or, if it's a possible scam... the small town is McClure, OH not Mcclure.

64 corvette
Hey Guys!
I am back in the hunt.... older and wiser I hope... trying to keep an open mind about cars and really just want to get the best one for the money.. $50ish is my max. I am focusing on 65-67 Convertibles, though I'd be open to "the right" coupe. I'd really like another 67, cause I have all the books, left over parts, and some experience...
Things I like
67s
I like ALL Corvette colors! That being said, I've got a special fondness for: Laguna Blue, Yellow, White/Red....
Stock Appearance
Things I'd rather avoid
Any frame/Birdcage issues
Repro Vin Tags & Trim Tags (already have been saved by a savvy inspector... thanks Pancho!)
Body Color that doesn't match the trim tag code.
Bubba style Repairs especially to the glass
Black interiors... though its not a deal killer depending on body color
I've been around here long enough to know that a few of you have been contemplating moving on from your car for various reasons...
If you have "been thinking about selling", and want your car to go to a good home, please let me know as if I am only chasing Craigslist Ads, I'll end up a day late and a dollar short most of the time.
PM or E-mail, let me know what you know!

Hi Revfan,
I own an honest NUMBERS-MATCHING '65 327/365HP 4-speed roadster with its original drivetrain, all newly rebuilt - in fact, everything from the cowl forward, including the wiring looms, is either correct new reproductions or rebuilt original.
It's Rally Red with a new red leather interior (the original was red vinyl), a red hardtop, and a black soft top. It has power steering with a teak steering wheel, and new power disc brakes. Whitewall radials are mounted to knockoff wheels, and a set of new redlines
The only modifications to the car are reversible in case you don't want air conditioning, a 180-amp alternator to easily power the electric cooling fan, and a reproduction factory wiring loom connected to a new fuse box with upgraded wiring to the headlights and their motors.
If you're interested, please get in touch as soon as possible, because it's scheduled to go through the Mecum Louisville auction on Saturday.
Best regards,
Rob Lewis

Thanks for the heads up...
While I have mentioned this in other forum threads, I haven't said anything here... and that is an oversight on my part...
I had a set back in my Vette Search/Hunt...
My mom's health had a turn for the worst in May, and I had to fly home from where I am stationed (Stuttgart Germany) and provide about 65 days of Hospice care for her... June through Mid August.. She has outlived all expectations, but is at the "end" nonetheless.
Anyway, I had to fund it all with my Vette/toy money, and it is going to take a while to build my funds back up.
So, I am outta the hunt for a while.... which kind of stinks because fall/winter is the time when folks seriously begin to think about letting their cars go.
