WTB: 63 SWC project or driver

Wtb: 63 Split Window project
Searching for a '63 Split Window Coupe project with an unmolested body (hopefully).
It doesn't have to be a runner but would certainly consider one. Missing engine or trany is okay!
NOM is ok! Budget in the $40-50k range. Willing to discuss.
Any help locating one would be greatly appreciated.
Anyone have a project car they want to bow out of

Very very nice convertible Bill and if I was searching for one would most likely want it. It should sell quite easily.
I probably should have been a bit more clear in my post. I'm looking for a SWC- Split Window Coupe.
Thanks,
Matt

This one is getting close Will, but still is causing some concern. Info over on Hemmings indicates the frame is actually from a convertible thus the vin would be off i.e. 0867 conv vs 0837 coupe. I find it interesting how Gullwing Motors' own site doesn't provide this detail yet it's mentioned on Hemmings > http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/...e/1809013.html
Not certain how I'd feel about restoring a coupe with a convertible vin#.

I called a guy there I know and he was pretty upfront about this being a convertible vin. It is indeed a convertible that was converted to a coupe a long time ago. Stay far away from this one unless you do not care.

Ive seen cars with replacement frames that never affect a thing because the title and the VIN tag are still as original. What's the case here?

Its on the birdcage so it is with the body. There is a guy in Canada that has a frame, vin tag and title from a 63 SWC. I would do it but I would let others make that determination on their own
I wouldnt want the car either, but would the VIN difference only be on the frame, if the frame is what was replaced? Meaning, the VIN tag would still be a coupe, as would the title. Now, if a convertible car had a "body change", the title would be for a convertible. And where did the VIN tag come from?

I know, thats why Im asking why people are saying a car with a frame swap now has a "convertible VIN." The original, coupe VIN is still on the VIN tag on the bady, as is the title.
