1957 Corvette For Sale Black Plate
Up for sale is a 1957 that has great bones and following:
California Black Plate
Great frame, no rust issues underneath!
Traction Masters and 5 leaf springs (probably drag raced in California)
Very late production, 6200+ VIN
Wonderbar radio and speaker
Non-number matching motor
Motor is a 519 block dated July 1960 with a single "C" suffix, good re-sale value. Believed to be a solid lifter motor.
Muncie 4 speed
Original rear end: 3.70 standard
Original windshield and side glass, however windshield is cracked.
Appears to be an original Polo White with Silver cove car
Red interior.
White soft top.
No jack or tools
Missing 1 horn
Think everything else is there.
Previous owner had it for almost 40 years. Purchased this car from the previous owner 9 years ago. It had not run in 18 years. I got it running, however I pulled the gas tank and have not replaced yet. The body appears to never have been off the frame. This was a presentable running vette, before I stripped paint, trim and removed gas tank. In order to run, would need gas tank installed. In order to stop, it would need a brake job.
It is in bare glass, so you can see the condition of the body. Drivers front fender has a repair, rest of the car is pretty good.
