F/S- 1962 Numbers Match, Unmolested, Original
1962 Honduras Maroon, Black interior.
Texas car from 1962-2011. Frame excellent- no rust ever.
Mechanically; runs &drives excellent- needs nothing. Numbers matching drivetrain. Engine original from carb to oil pan.
No hit body with excellent paint. Chrome/stainless very nice. Has Wonderbar radio.
Black soft top only. Converted to disc brakes in front, original drum setup included.
14,531 Corvettes built in 1962. Only 1,532 had the Aluminum Powerglide auto trans, Of those 1,067 had 250hp. This is 1 of only 465 Powerglides with 300hp.
Consider this; Powerglide cars like this one have not been beat on, raced & hot rodded. They have not had engines, transmissions, rear ends blown & replaced. As a result you have here a 55 year old car that is unmolested and very original.
Numbers & dates codes & more photos available upon request.
Inspections welcomed & encouraged.
Priced to sell- 59k.
Located in Monroe, MI.

Frankie, Thanks for the compliment on our 62...I figure the PG trans is a reason it hasn't found a new owner yet. For those who lose interest when they see it's an automatic- all I can say is you should drive this car and then make your determination as to how much you would enjoy owning it. I think many would be surprised, I know I was the first time i pressed the pedal down.

Listed in Ebay
She's listed in ebay. I've had 2 trade offers this summer for C7's. Our sons who are 14 & 16 are not in agreement with my decisions against taking the trades, lol.

Sale Pending
Sale Pending. Guys - thanks for the bumps & compliments on our 62. I'm still very surprised it took 18 months to sell a C1 with an entirely original drivetrain that's in excellent mechanical & cosmetic condition. Had 3 dealers who wanted to steal it and make 10k+ on the resale. Some others made low ball offers after complaining about its minimal flaws; wrong fan, wrong oil cap, wiper motor wiring disconnected.
Probably took so long due to my only having it advertised in 1 car website along with this forum and a few spins thru ebay. Also due to it being a powerglide car. This is the 4th C1 I've owned (others being 58, 60, 61) and this 62 is hands down the best driving, tightest, most reliable C1 we've had.
Hemmings has 83 1962 Corvettes listed now and half of those are priced at 70k or more- based on that the buyer got a helluva deal. I'm sad to see her go but she's going to a good home with a Corvette guy who already owns a 4-speed 62, now he'll have both of 62's offerings.
