1966- install speaker, clock & radio- what order?
i've got my console apart and want to know what is the easiest way to put it back together. i'm still waiting on my radio (off for repairs), but am ready to go with the new speaker and reconditioned clock. should i wait for the radio or start at the top with the speaker? i'm in no hurry if i have to wait for the radio. thanks.

speaker first
Speaker first
There's not much room up under the dash. I think you'll find that putting the speaker in without maneuvering around the clock and radio will be MUCH easier.
When I had my radio, clock and speaker out I put the clock in next, (after the speaker) and then the radio. However, the radio was definetly the toughest and it MIGHT be easier to put the radio in first then the clock...Clock was pretty simple

I agree - speaker first, then radio, then clock - getting the clips on the clock is a litle tricky - but my experience (rebuilt all three) was that this is the preferred sequence.
Hey Pusher, we're almost neighbours - had my radio rebuilt by a guy in Victoria.

"Who's " on first
There is no doubt what so ever that the speaker MUST go in first.
After that it's a toss up, dosen't make any difference in the difficulty level. You will notice that the radio is very easy to install , if you first remove both side panels, Insert it at an angle from the drivers side, and once you clear the tunnel, bring it upright and pull it forward into it's position.
