Default teak steering wheel in 63 ? ?

I came across a steering wheel that has circular machine marks on the spokes , like a 63 steering wheel but, it is a real "wood" wheel. Is there such a thing as a 1963 teak wheel ? or what is it ?

Yes, there was a wood steering wheel option (N34) in 1963, of which 130 were sold, making it the next rarest option after the 36-gallon fuel tank (63) and the heater delete (124) options. Whether what you have is actually an original 63 wheel is another question, as many teak repros have been made using standard steering wheel frames.

The N34 wood grain steering wheel was plastic. You may have one of 130 made.

I think someone sent in a '63 wheel to have it redone in teak, assuming the metal part of the wheel (spokes and hub) are an original '63 Corvette.

My opinion . . . .
