Default Can anyone help I.D. an old posi rear?

My Dad gave me a posi rear that lived in his '57 in the olden days. Its likely a '62 unit.... I got the #s
110 2 and 3789812 and a 5 next to the GM stamp. does any of that translate to a build date? or do I need to keep searching? thanx in advance if anyone can help me.

Default 3789812 is a 1962 positraction case

It was used late 61 thru 62 only for posi units. The 3725899 was used for open diffs in 60-62.

1 102 = jan 10, 1962 assembly date. There should be a 2 letter code before the numbers , such as AF1102. The "AF'=3:70 ratio, 'AL'=4:11 etc.

See if you can find the letter code.

Hope that helps,
Jim
