Quick! What type of grease for throw-out bearing>?
The manual says "graphite grease" - the auto parts guy says "Whaa?"
I need to find out quick - what do I use? High temp brake type grease OK?
Thanks!
Edit: Just called 4 auto parts stores - same thing "Me don't know 'bout no dang car parts..."
If the manual is talking about the grease on the inside of the bearing - mine looks already packed -

Gray moly lube is what you want - I use ARP Assembly Lubricant - same thing.

If you look at the bore of the throwout bearing you will see a shallow groove. You should apply some grease to this groove which will keep the surface between the bearing and the input shaft sleeve lubed. Also apply grease sparingly to the groove on the outside that the fork runs in. (sparingly)
