Default Car Show - 2005 MSRA Back to the 50's - MN

They had almost 11,000 cars registered this weekend. It was crazy. If we were lucky - we saw 25% of the cars. They were tucked into every nook & cranny there was. I got about 50 pics of Vettes - 1964 and older...and a pic I'll throw in of a hand build "mini-car".

Here is a link to a slide show...

Thanks for the pictures.

Sure were a lot of beautiful custom Corvettes out there. It's nice to see so many painted with non-original colors and sporting non-original wheels. (do they know they're breaking some kind of "law" by modifying their cars?)

That tiny '42 Mercury was pretty cool too.

I think may favorite was the red '55 (I think it was photo #49).

Thanks again.

I agree - It was really cool to see. He made a wire frame, then molded (by hand) refrigerator metals over the wire frame. He welded all of the body panels with only a gas welder. Once welded he removed the wire frame. It is powerd by a 4 cylinder Toyota - 5 speed tranny. It sounds like a flat head V8 with loud pipes.

Very very cool photos....it was really interesting to see a 63 in yellow and orange...boy that was different....I think I saw about 5 different SWC there...that's a real good showing for SWC's. Many thanks for posting.

Thanks for the great pictures! I'm from Minnesota and always loved the back to the 50's week. I'm in the Northwest now but still keep my Minnesota streetrod membership so maybe I'll see some of these cars in the Line chaser.

Default Back to the 50s

Took the grand tour this weekend also. Alot of beautiful machines. Many 63 and 64 coupes for some reason. The crate motor and paint people really made a ton of money. My favorite was a 58 with a late model LS-1. Hard to see them all in one weekend........
