the liquid ebony that i used (years ago) was not a 3m product as i recall, and, as nitram referenced, is a throwback to "old school". (i am also in the same leaky boat). (not sure about the other name he listed).
3m now makes a great line called finesse-it and lists ebony in their product line. finesse-it final finish is also excellent. contact your local auto paint supplier and he will steer you to the product.
