Default Metric flare adaptor for line lock

I posted this up on the drag racing forum but, so far, no one has the answer. I am going to install a line lock into my 59 project. The brake system is from a C4 and has all metric fittings. All the line locks that I have found have 1/8 NPT fittings and all the line lock installation kits that I have found are for inverted flare fittings. Does anyone know of a source for brake fittings that allows you to adapt a male metric bubble flare brake fitting into to 1/8 pipe thread? The metric end is M10 x 1.0. I guess I can re-flare the lines, but I'd rather not.
Thanks,
Charles

Find an auto parts store with a 'Weatherhead' catalog. Weatherhead makes tubing fittings and adapters for just about any combination...spend some time digging thru the catalog and you'll probably find what you need.

Hi,

I have done this before but had to make up (drill/tap) my own adapter block. My application was 8mm (if I remember right) on one side and 1/8 on the other end.

I have fittings for female bubble to male pipe on my 60,but Im not sure on the other way around. I know we put a line lock on my kids 95 S10 that had all bubble ends. Should not be hard to find. The Chain stores are not that good for fittings. Try a real parts store. If you can't find them email me a list of what you need and I will check my supplier and send them to you if they have what you want. Brian G.

Just remembered that Pegasus has those adapters, too:

Thanks for the replies.

Don: I checked the Pegasus web site and could find only a M10x1.0 male to 1/8" NPT female adaptor for applications like pressure gauge fittings. Could not find any for brake fittings in the size I need. If you know a Pegasus part number for what I need, let me know.

Brian: I sent you an email.

Charles,

Try Cartek. I'm pretty sure that fitting you need came with the line-lock kit for my C5. Ask for Dave, maybe he can send you one or at least steer you in the right direction.

Bob
