the brass fitting that is on the speedometer cable; what length should the speedometer cable be from the brass fitting that inserts into the speedometer. does anyone have a breakdown picture of the speedometer?

Burning Brakes
The distance from the end of the cable to the front face of the brass should not be more than the distance the cable will fit into the spedo head. This way when you tighten the nut it will not jam into the spedo head.
