Default need help with intake numbers

My 62 did not have the intake manifold. I bought one years ago from a chevy dealer. Please tell me what it is. Number 3844459, GM3, date appears to be H217? What is this and what carb is it for. I have a AFB on this manifold. I see two on ebay
1.item 8022601165 number 3799349 300 hp
2 item 4596958098 number 3793244 250 hp
Would one of these be better for me or am I ok the way its been for over 20 something years.

Intake manifold #3844459 was originally used on 65 C-2s w. 300 Hp. The date H217 indicates a service replacment . Intake #3844459 used AFB carb. model 3721S, SA, or SB w. manuel trans or model 3720S, SA or SB w. Powerglide trans.

Thanks Donald, That would be exactly right. Do you know if you need to run a spacer beneath the afb or gasket only.?

My 62 came with manifold #3799349, which the books say is identical to your manifold #3844459 (w/add. of power brake boss). Manifold #3799349 was designed for years 63 & 64, however was used on late model 300 hp 62's, which my 62 is, so appears to be the correct manifold for late model 300 hp 62's.

Appears that from a performance view, your current manifold will work fine (as you indicate). But if you want numbers matching then #3799349 appears correct for late model 62's of 300 hp.

The matching carbs for 62 appear to be
1) #3269 S (4.5) for manuals & 300/340 hp
2) #3310 S (4.5) for automatics & 300 hp.

Hope this helps.
