WCFB carb parts Broadband O2
Any suggestions on where to buy some WCFB jets and metering rods ? I search internet, rebuilt carbs available...I need these few parts.
Rods:
primary .071 x .050 inch
secondary same
Main jets:
primary .106 inch
secondary .061
idle jets: #65 .035 inch
Dual quads...both same specs
Not sure what is in them, I need assortment to tune.
Recently got a wideband O2 analyzer so I can play with the sizes.
First AFR readings were better than expected on these old carbs about 12.8 ratio at idle and 13.7 at road speed, not as far from 14 as expected.
Thanks all, see you in BG in May
Joe

Devildog,
Have you tried the Carter factory? How about Edelbrock? They make the AFB wanna-be sold under the name of Performer Carbs. They carry jet kits and many different size rods. Don't know if they'll work though.
Saw your avatar.....I'm going to Love Field this weekend for the static display of a B-24, B-25 and a B-17. Flights on any of the planes are $425. Can't wait. Good luck on finding the parts.

Thanks for suggestions. Carter went out of business in the 80s. The AFB metering rods have an L shape on end...WCFBs have an eye.
Jets probably same
If the B-25 at love is the Yellow Rose, tell them the DEVILDOG has to reduce power 1 inch manfold pressure to fly formation with them. They hate that.

Devildog; Try chicago corvette, specifically Al Fierkie. His e-mail is Mztercarb@aol,com. I have used him in the past and I was satisfied.
You might also try a yahoo search using the words wcfb carburetor.
I found some parts for my wcfb this way. Studio 1, I believe was the web site.
good luck;

the jets are the same as a carter afb or edelbrock performer/thunder you only need change the metering rods after you dial in the power system and then want to change the cruise mixture. the original rods should be close and any decent carb shop or speed shop should have the jets in stock
