Need help on replacing (?) Headlight warning light on 65 Vette
Guy's...Do any of you know how to repair the headlamp warning light on a 1965 ?...which I think is a blinking ? light, that sits on the dashboard, right next to the parking brake warning light. I attempted to reach blindly (and with a mirror) up into my dash to see if it is a simple as replacing the bulb....but I cannot reach it or see what I am supposed to be reaching anyway......Any input on fixing this ? Thx in Advance...Elmer

It is very likely that it's just the bulb that is out..
Yes it does blink, just like the E-Brake light
I found many out in my car..
Most that were still working, were really dim.
What a difference when they are all working correctly..
They are FUN to get to though..
I had my dash partly apart when I did mine so it was a bit easier to see..
Good luck

Re: Need help on replacing (pittsaj)
Check to make sure the switches on the headlamp assemblies work first. Both of mine were broken. If it's the bulb, I would drop the steering column and gently tilt the cluster forward to replace the bulb, otherwise you may do more damage than good. Initially - I would stand on my head by the hour to replace bulbs. The last time I had the cluster out ( to rehab the main harness) I replaced all the bulbs with made in the USA GE bulbs from NAPA). They have held up well (about 6-7 years now, but they are not as bright as when new. The nonUSA bulbs burned out in 2-6 month intervals. Someone on this board posted the number of aircraft bulbs that are brighter and last, but I doubt the flashing bulb will be on that list.

....i have never found any way of changing those bulbs without pulling the cluster...btw, the bulbs for the headlight and brake are special flashing bulbs with integral flashing gizmos..they are not cheap
