How to paint seatbelt buckle on a 65
I have stripped the paint of my seatbelt buckles on my 65 and I am getting ready to repaint them. How do I disassemble the buckle? I have posted this question a couple of times before with no response. I know if must be possible because of all of the restored buckles I have seen.
If it is nor feasabile to disassemble them, what is the best way to paint them assembled?
Thanks,
Mike

Re: How to paint seatbelt buckle on a 65 (damac)
Mike,
I don't think I would want to take one of them apart..
With the spring and all, it seems like it would be much more trouble than it's worth...
It seems like it would be easy to mask off though..
Go with light coats to be sure that the paint sticks..
I'd use simi-flat Krylon..
Good luck

I gave up on trying to disassemble the buckles and just masked and painted them last night. Turned out great and was the easiest thing I have done on my car in a long time.
