Seat belts out or not for C2 body lift?
Some sources say nothing about the requirement of removing the seat belts for a '67 coupe body-lift....others say "remove seat belt anchors, left, right, centre". :smash:
What's the truth here? Can't see up in there to know for sure.
Do they have to come out before the lift?

Can't tell you definitively, don't remember having to remove them in my '63..... but it's easy to find out, just stick your head underneath and see if any of the belts are bolted to a bracket that's welded or bolted to the frame.

I can't give you a definitive answer without looking under the car - and mine is a 66. I can't remember when the steel cables were installed underneath the car to tie down the anchors. Your car should have them. If they do not connect to a frame member - no problem. I think my center cables do, but maybe not the outside cables? Look for the short steel cables that anchor the anchor bolts.
I know where you can look for good instructions. After the body pull at the Lake Placid NCRS convention, Yankee Lady posted COMPLETE instructions on their web site. Check there. Don't forget the clutch return spring. They stretched the scheist out of the one on the Lake Placid car.

63's don't have the frame cables for the seat belts. 64's...maybe...but by 67 definitely you have the cables. As I remember, the outer belts have short cables which bolt to the frame. Both inner belt mounts are connected by a common cable which is attached to the center of the frame. Chuck
