What Length C2 Speedometer Cable??
I notice there are 2 different lengths for a C2 speedometer cable available from the parts places. Anyone know the correct length for a 327-350hp w/ac and 4 sp.? While I'm asking-my speedometer plastic gear is purple-What rear gear ratio should that color match to? Thanks from Titletown--Green Bay all the way this year!!

3-speed manual and Powerglide take the "short" cable (speedo on the driver's side of the trans), and '65-up 4-speeds take the "long" cable (speedo on the passenger side of the trans).
There was no "purple" speedo driven gear (it's discolored from age) - how many teeth on it, and what axle ratio do you have?
